Big dogs need big beds—and apparently they need to sleep in positions that require every available inch. We liked the roomy sleeping area, supportive cushioning, and removable washable cover. It's a comfortable, practical bed that actually gives a giant-breed dog room to sprawl.
Giant Paws Tip: Measure your dog stretched out before choosing a size. “XL” in the dog-bed world doesn't always mean Giant Paws XL.

WHY WE LIKE IT
This is a great option for dogs who like a little extra support around them when they sleep. We liked the cushioned sleeping surface and raised sides—and before taking over our bed, Waylon had plenty of room to get comfortable without looking like he'd been stuffed into a dog bed two sizes too small.
Giant Paws Tip: Check the inside sleeping dimensions, not just the overall dimensions. Those bolsters take up some valuable giant-dog real estate.

WHY WE LIKE IT
When your dog outweighs some adults, a casual stroll can turn into an unexpected upper-body workout. We like the Gentle Leader because it gives us a little more control when Waylon decides he's got somewhere to go—and apparently we're coming with him. Learning how to use this was a GAME CHANGER for me! Teaching Waylon to walk nicely was so much easier than with any other dog I have had.

Because Giant Dogs Take Up Giant Space
WHY WE LIKE IT
A ride with a giant-breed dog comes with a few extras: hair, slobber, muddy paws and approximately one entire dog's worth of dog in the back of your vehicle. We like the 4Knines liner because it helps protect the cargo area and makes cleaning up after Waylon a whole lot easier.
Giant Paws Tip: Measure your cargo area before ordering. The right size depends on your vehicle—not the size of the furry passenger taking over the back.

WHY WE LIKE IT
This is the harness we actually use with Waylon. It's easy to put on, adjustable for that giant-breed chest, and the handle on top gives us a little extra control when Mr. Independent has other plans. We also like the reflective detailing for walks when the light isn't great.
Giant Paws Tip: Measure around the widest part of your dog's chest before ordering. Giant-breed sizing is its own special adventure, and the number on the scale doesn't tell the whole story.

Waylon has had one of these, and we love that it's actually made for BIG play. He can chase it, carry it, shove it around the yard and generally behave like a 140-pound toddler who just discovered recess.
Giant Paws Tip: Go BIG. For giant-breed dogs, we recommend checking out the larger sizes. And like any dog toy, supervise play and replace it when it's had one giant paw too many.
WOOF Pupsicle
Because Sometimes You Just Need Them Busy
WHY WE LIKE IT
Fill it. Freeze it. Hand it to the dog. Enjoy the suspicious silence. We love the Pupsicle because it gives Waylon something to work on while we get a few minutes to do something that doesn't involve entertaining a giant dog.
It's reusable, easy to refill, and you can use ready-made treats or make your own frozen goodies.
Giant Paws Tip: For giant-breed dogs, check the XL size and always supervise. Also remember that whatever you put inside counts as treats—even if Waylon would like us all to forget that part.

WHY WE LIKE IT
We're just going to say it: opening a bag of duck feet takes a little getting used to.
Waylon, however, has absolutely no concerns about this.
We like these as a simple, crunchy treat—and apparently nothing says “I love you” to a giant-breed dog quite like handing him an actual duck foot.
Giant Paws Tip: These are treats, not toys. Supervise while your dog is chewing and remove any pieces you don't feel comfortable with him swallowing.
